I highly recommend Don Jessup and his office. Our short sale ended up having some complications beyond our control, and Don navigated through the process with expertise, professionalism, and aplomb. He constantly had our best interests in mind, and despite the complications (again, out of his control) was able to negotiate a very good outcome for us. He really knows his stuff, which in the world of dealing with banks and the short sale process is really important. I felt totally confident knowing that we were working with someone who knew the ins and outs of the whole process, as well as how to deal with each individual bank. Don and his office were always very courteous and friendly with us and helped us through a difficult process. If you are in a short sale, go with Don. He knows way more about how to work out a great outcome for you.

Don Jessup with Silicon Valley Associates was very professional with his expertise in Real Estate and Mortgage Management. I was disabled from a major medical condition and also divorced which caused my financial management to be out of control. Don helped me through the whole process of the short sale of my property with the expertise to help me stay in my home with my dependent daughter for more than 12 months. This created the opportunity for me to have a fresh financial start and to be in control of my financial management once again. I hired Don Jessup as my Realtor, because he was highly recommended. I was retiring from San Jose to a town along the coast. He worked with the other real estate person creating a smooth transition.
I put a bid on a home and the timing was essential. He was great at negotiating and was able to meet the deadline.
People were out bidding each other and one person offered a $1,000 more than the highest offer. He recommended we decline because he knew they couldn't get the loan fast enough. He had to hurry or I would loose my new home. It was a very positive short sale.
I have recommended him to many people. I never knew anyone that was so good and quick-thinking. He doesn't know this, but I left in my will that if my home is to be sold upon my death, he is the one to make the sale.
He did a lot of extra things that I haven't heard of a Realtor doing and I really appreciate his service. It was beyond the call of duty. I don't forget things like this.
I have spread the word of his excellent talent as a real estate professional. I was extremely impressed.

Don Jessup was incredible to work with for the completion of our short sale of our home in San Jose. After realizing that our home had depreciated 40% in value since we purchased it, we knew we were too upside down to reasonably see the home worth what we paid for it any time soon. Don gave us great advice and knew EXACTLY what to do.
After weighing our options with some other realtors, we met with Don and he was the first realtor who knew exactly what to do in a short sale, who to talk to, how to process forms, how to negotiate, his confidence inspired us to move forward in an otherwise scary and unsure process.
He quickly found a buyer and convinced the bank to sell it for 30% less than we paid, we got to walk away from the property debt free and in no risk of retaliation from the mortgage company and the IRS.
As someone who has gone through a short sale, my best advice is to use a realtor who has the MOST experience, don't let a realtor use your life as an experiment to figure out how to do a short sale, use someone who knows exactly what to do, Silicone Valley Associates are the experts.
